I found the most amazing snack tonight!

Sun-Rype Fruit to go Crisps!!
They are 100% fruit and only 100 calories for 1 cup. Oh and that 1 cup is 2 servings of fruit! Oh my god this is great! I can put a cup in baggie and get my fruit it!

I guess my 60 mins in the grocery store was almost worth it.
Healthy shopping is hard work. Reading labels and checking for good fruit. Trying to find a vegetable I my like.
Anyway time to have some real food and sit.

Feeling Great!

Work out night number two!! Yeah me!! Did 30 min on the gazelle burned 250 calories that is 50 more then I burnt yesterday in 30 min!!!!
I did 50 step up, 10 push ups and 10 lame sit ups.
I don't even feel that tired but I was sweaty! I was just getting really bored. I think I will be keeping my ears open for something different. Maybe a bike or I don't know something to jazz it up.
Oh I also did some skipping. Tried to teach Hannah but that didn't work. Will have to wait for the easter bunny to bring a little rope for her.

Yeah ME!!!

Today Hannah and I did a workout!
We had so much fun! There was lots of dancing and singing. I did thirty minutes on the gazelle and burned two hundred calories. I did about 5 min of the gazelle then stopped and did some dancing and step ups, then went back on the gazelle. After my 30 min on the gazelle we did lots of stretching and wow I am not flexible!! Well I really shouldn't compare myself to a 3 year old cause she can bend so much she can almost kiss her own butt!
Oh I am also proud the we had veggies two times today! Our mid morning snack and then again after our workout! This is a picture of Hannah eating veggies after our workout.
What an amazing day! Got abit of motivation from watching videos on youtube and today did something about it. I am proud of me and need to keep it up for 3 more weeks to make it a habit!
Oh and I have drank two big reusable bottles of water!
Anyway that is it for now.

Sweet Cheeks Day 2

Just finished my second night of honey treatment. Don't know if it is working but my face feels a lot smoother! I think it looks abit better to but it could all be in my head. Defiantly going to be keeping this up. How can I not, it only takes 15 min total and it is free! Oh and I smell delicious while I am doing it. Eric kinda looked at me like I was nuts when I walked out of the bathroom all sticky. If this helps my face it has to help my self confidence. And I believe everyone will benefit from a happier me! LOL

You never see a bee with acne!

I heard about an unusual acne treatment along time ago and never tried it. Always thought it sounded crazy. Well in the last two months my face has gotten much worse. While I was looking on youtube I came across some video and thought I would give it a shot. So here I sit with honey all over my face. Yep that's right honey to treat acne. From the amount of videos I saw and the articles on google it looks promising. And what do I have to lose? Nothing I got the honey in my cupboard and nobody here to tell me I look nuts! I also to some pretty nasty before pictures, because all before acne pictures are hideous! They will never be seen unless the treatment works wonders. Well I have been sitting here smelling sweet and feeling stick for fifteen minutes so its time to do and wash this off.

Knitting moment

I had a knitting moment this week. Made my self a headband then Hannah wanted one. So I changed it up abit and made one for her. I need to make a few more tweaks for the next one cause it is just abit to big.
Want to make a neck warmer for her too but hate working from patterns. And I don't really have the creativity to think one up now. This cold is just fogging up my brain, even my writing is weak.

What will it take?

For me to finally be motivated? How many shows do I need to watch? How many magazines do I need to buy? How many books do I need to read? When will it click for me?
I am miserable in my own skin. I can't stand what I am doing to my self and my family. I just want to be healthy. I am tired of being the fat one. I hate clothes because of the fat. I am even more anti-social because of the fat. I don't have friends because of the fat. Well I am just me and that is why I am anti-social. I care what people think about me that's why I have no friends. Cause if I don't have any friends then I don't have to be concerned with what they think of me.
What will it take for me to get off my ass? What will it take to stop the intake? When will it be my time? Were is my rock bottom? Am I there yet? Cause I can't see the bottom but I am sure tired of the fall.
I am not writing and posting this to get an response. I don't want one. I just need to get it out. Maybe this will be my therapy. Telling people without actually telling people. The actuality that nobody will ever read it but the possibility that someone may. Knowing that my frustrations are out there in type. Not just rattling around in my brain frustrating me even more.
I know one day something will change. It did for my Mom. She changed, she made it work and I am so proud of her for it. I never knew or appreciated what she did and went through till now, when I am struggling.
Now here it is 2am and I am laying in bed crying. They are mostly tears of happiness cause I am getting this out but mixed in are some tears of fear.
Please if you read this take it in. Reflect on it then put it out of your mind. Don't think this is a cry for help. It is only a step on my path to self help. I need to do this for myself. I need to figure it out myself, that is the only way to learn the lessons that I need to learn. Please don't treat me any different then before. Right now I am the same women. Right now but not forever.

Not an animal person!

Just saw a commercial were they asked someone their favorite animal to distract them. So here I am thinking, probably for 2 min about what my favorite animal is. I could not come up with anything. Nothing!
I always knew I was not an animal person. Having an allergy has always been a good excuse because not many people understand not liking animals. Well I don't!
Dog smell and make to much noise. Cats are sneaky and need to much attention. Oh and birds, god! All the squawking and all the crap!
I really don't like animals!

Hannah and I made some blueberry muffins tonight. It was so much fun! I know she had a great time and really enjoyed it!
Not to sure how they are going to taste because I put Splenda instead of sugar and put half white flour and half whole wheat flour. They look kinda bad cause frozen blueberries bleed when they are mixed so our muffins are kinda blue! LOL
Just waiting for them to cool so we can do some taste testing before bed!

Christmas Music Hell

I sure know that the person who decieds when to start playing christmas music does not listen to said music. Working in retail and listening to it since November 12th is horrible. There is nothing I am looking forward to more then December 26th so that the happy, cheery music will end. Think about it people 40 hours a week for 6 weeks is 240 hours of music. And that is only at work. Not even counting driving to work and it being on the radio or out shopping at other stores.
So needless to say I am not fa-la-laing anymore.
Only 18 more days of torture to my ears.

When I was checking out my list of blogs today I came across this picture. At first all I could see was the colouring on the wall.

But once you look past that you see this.

Oh my god!! I am loving this idea. Okay not loving it if you have a brand new crib or will be needing it for another child. But our crib has been through so many kids that it is wobbly and being held together by tie straps.
So I am thinking do you think that a) my brother the owner of the crib would want to hurt me?? and b) Hannah would just do better in a big girl bed and garbage the crib??
We are moving in 4 days and I think this may be a great solution until I have more time to work on the sleeping in a big girl bed thing. I don't know but you have to admit it is a neat idea.

It was my birthday on Friday and I turned 27!! Yeah me!!LOL

So for my birthday I got some Pampered Chef gadgets from my Mom.
I just have to brag about them cause they rock!!!

First off is a knife.

It is so very sharp that it was like cutting butter with a hot knife. Love the green non stick coating, and it comes with a plastic storage cover for the blade.

Next up is some corn cob knobs!!!
These baby's screw into the cob before you put it in the water and when you take them out, instantly cool. A must when you want the really hot fresh corn on the cob.

And last but not least this Kernel Cutter.
It takes the corn off the cooked cob with very little effort. I always cook to many cobs so now I can take the kernels off and freeze them for later. YEAH!!!

I was told that the "Big Sis" shirt looked funny with just the one flower on the back so I added abit more before I give it.

And I added my company TOCC to it. Yes I would consider making more for other future big sisters, or any shirt that you just can't find out on the market. Custom jobs are welcome.

My Sister in law is having a baby and is due any day. I thought it would be really cute for my niece to have a big sister shirt to wear. So I decided to try my hand at stenciling on fabric. I don't think it turned out to bad for my first try.

My stencil cut out and ironed on. Be careful not to hold the iron on to long cause it will burn!!

I somehow got a mark on the back so I added a flower at the back to cover it.

So here you go and yes it was as good as it looks.

Hannah loved the cake and wanted seconds.

My niece had seconds and wanted more but she had to settle for licking the dish.

Look what I made!!!!

It is hard to tell from these pictures but this is the recipe I used

LAYERED ICE CREAM CAKE
Makes a 9”x 13” Pan
24 Ice cream sandwiches
8 oz. Cool Whip™
1 Hershey’s™ chocolate syrup bottle
1 Smuckers™ caramel syrup bottle
2 king size Butterfinger™ candy bars chopped up
1st layer -12 ice cream sandwiches
2nd – half of whipped cream
3rd - half of Butterfinger™ bars, Squeeze 1/2 of caramel &
chocolate over that.
4th - rest of ice cream sandwiches
5th – Cool Whip™
6th - rest of Butterfinger™, caramel & chocolate
You can freeze this and eat as desired! Yummy! Yummy!

So what I did was use a 9x9 pan and put 8 ice cream sandwiches tightly in the bottom.
Then I put 1/2 a tub of Cool Whip on top. Sprinkled with 2 broken Skor bars. (couldn't find butterfingers) then drizzled with caramel and chocolate ice cream sauce.
Put into the chest freezer so it freezes up nice and hard.

I ran out of bars and room in the pan so only one layer for us but I think it will be good.

I will take step by step pictures of it next time I make it. Well that is if it tastes half as good as it looks.

So I signed up at this site.
And I gave them this picture of me with it all hanging out!!! I found the smallest shirt I could and didn't suck anything in and yes I am embarrassed but I believe that is what a before picture is all about.

So this is what the site thinks I will look like after loosing 50 pounds.

I keep taking a double look at this picture. I know it kinda looks strange but Wow could I look like that????

With our latest dump of about 1 foot of snow in less then 12 hours I have a few little things to say.

Since 1990 it has been a law that you are not allowed to deposit snow or ice on a roadway.

So you know what that means??? Keep your damn snow in your own yard. Ya I know you are running out of room, we all are. And really if it wasn’t a law isn’t it common sense not to do it?? Especially when you live on a busy road??? Try getting squeezed over by a bigger vehicle and hitting that pile of snow that was pushed out. Major accident waiting to happen.

Watch your self or this could be happening at your house next.

Turn your damn lights on.

I know I know you have daytime running lights, but guess what… When they are on you have no tail light. So that means the guys driving in the other lane can see you just fine but the guy right behind you can’t cause you got no tail lights. Don’t believe me, do a Google search and check it out, or read this, or better yet go on out and check your vehicle. It’s not hard to flip the little switch every time you get in, hell it even dings for ya if you leave them on. It couldn’t be simpler.

Clean your car!!!

Have you seen these people driving around with a foot of snow on the roof of the vehicle. I know it is not any of you reading this cause you all know better. I mean seariously I am 5 feet tall and drive a damn mini van but my roof is clean. I did have to go and find the longest extendable snow brush I could get just to get the job done but hey why would I leave it there?? Oh ya casue people are lazy!! I can't find any Ontario Law about cleaning you vechile but I think if your snow causes a proble you can be charged. So you all don't think I am crazy and the only one bitching about this subject here is another article for you.

Weight Loss

I have big news. Well it's big to me and if you don't think it is then kiss my tooshie.

I am going to be a key holder at work!!!! Yup that's right they are giving me power. I will get an alarm code so that I can screw it up and see the hot cops every now and then. I get to use the safe, three to the left, two to the right and stop!! LOL
So ya tonight I learnt how to close the cashes and do the deposit and float. So easy!!! Well I say that now cause the manager was standing beside me to help me out. We will see how I do on my own. I will only be a backup key holder for now but wow I have only been there 3 months and I am getting a key. They sure do have faith in me!!
The bestest bestest part is when I close I don't have to clean!!! Yup that's right no more garbage's and sweeping for me!! Haha suckers!! LOL just kidding it is not that bad, kinda peaceful and no stress or responsibility. Wait do I want to be a key holder?? Stress, responsibility??? Hum.... Ya okay I do.

Any way I know that it has been awhile since I posted and I haven't updated you on my never ending afghan. Well guess what........ It is taking forever!!! So I kinda stoped and started some other small projects that I can screw up faster than the afghan. Like the newborn hat that I made. So very very bad!! It is wonky and kinda looks like a messed up bowl. I have now moved on to messing up a hat for Mini. So far it still looks like a hat, but hey I am not done yet still lots of time to make mistakes. One day I will take some pictures of my recent projects and show you all. But just so you don't get your hopes up I will not be posting pictures of the hat bowl cause it is just abit embarrassing.

Anyway that is my rambling for the day and I am now off to try and finish Mini's hat and watch some tv.

Here is a new progress picture of my afghan. There are two different patterns and two different sizes. Looking at them now I am thinking they seem a little bit random and I need to figure out a way to may them not to thrown together.
Well since it will probly take me another 2 years to get this done at the rate I am going I will have a long time to figure it out!! LOL

Afghan bits

So after two failed attempts at making myself an afghan I think this time may just work!!!
This is the yarn that I got in great big balls at Wal-mart on clearance for 7.77 each.
A nice off white and denim blue.

I am just doing a basic granny square in different colours. These are my first 4 squares, they are about 5 inches square.

Then I decided to make some small blocks to put four together and make a different looking bigger block. Here is a small white one and then it on top of the blue one for size comparison.

I am very excited about this afghan!!! I just hope that I can get it done before the cold weather is gone.
I will keep you updated on my squares. They are pretty fast to make and I am sure I am getting fast by the square.

Hair Clips

I whipped up some hair clips this weekend to see what I like.
They didn't turn out that bad, even thought I bought the wrong clips.

I now know what I like and what I don't, and have some new ideas for the next batch.

I haven't been posting much lately. Nothing much interesting has been happening around here. I hope to change that with four days off starting tomorrow. I hope to get alot of cleaning done and maybe some crafting. That is if the bug that Mini has goes away and she doesn't give it to us!! LOL

Here is something that I think is really cool and will be looking for the supplies to make one for Mini. I will not even tell you what it is and make you go to the link to see it. Haha!!

My Funny Little Mini!!

Mini decided this morning that we weren't moving fast enough so she dressed her self.
This should really be a Wordless Wednesday post but I couldn't wait for tomorrow.

Mini is modeling her pj pants, a shirt with the neck around her waist and my winter hat. This little girl loves her hats!!!
A few min after these pictures she put on my big leather ski doo gloves. What a look she has!!!

Lip gloss attempt

My latest homemade crafting attempt is to make lip gloss.
I use way to much chap stick!! I know this and when I went looking for some this morning and all I found was 6 empty tubes the addiction set in!!
So why not try and save some money by making my own.

I used petroleum jelly and cocco powder for chocolate lip gloss.

Here is my melting method. A kind of double boiler with a pot of water and a empty cheese whiz jar.

I want to try this again with bees wax for a more chap stick consistency.
There may be more pictures later if I attempt this again.

The search for a chair

Christmas shopping is not agreeing with me this year. I am looking for this chair.

Wal-Mart doesn't carry them anymore, only the fold out sofa. With Mini the fold out sofa would be a constant game of fold and unfold.

So now I am looking for a second hand foam chair. I don't care what the cover picture is or the condition of the cover. I plan on recovering it so it is special for Mini. All I am asking is that the foam be in good condition. So if you have a chair that you no longer want or come across please keep me in mind.

My newest obsession

Yes that is right I have a new obsession!! It is crocheting. I finally figured it out a few nights ago and have been playing around will it nonstop since then. I finally made something that I didn't rip back out. A pop can cozy. I love it!!!

I actually think that crocheting is easier to do when you are just winging it.
So we will see what I come up with now. Although it may be put on the back burner for a bit since Christmas is only 34 days left!!! AHHHHHH

A lot of people ask me how I get Mini to sit still to do her hair. Well with the help of Treehouse TV and a bag of goodies she sits just fine.
I will also tell you a few other things about Mini's hair.
First that I have been doing her hair since she was 6 months old, I constantly play with her hair while sitting and watching TV or any time it she is close to me. So she is used to me playing with her hair. And lastly her hair is so long that it goes down past her noise and if I don't put it up it is constantly in her eyes.
So here is a not so faltering picture of her a breakfast this morning. This is the crazy hair she wakes up with every morning.

So yesterday Amanda came over for a craft day and decided to do Mini's hair.
Here is proof that it is not just me she sits still for.

And this is the finished product!!!
Really nice I love it!

Then after her hair dried stuff started sticking up so Amanda added some more.
It held up pretty good. Just the pig tails needed fixing after nap time.

Geocaching

Found a really neat site yesterday. Check this out!!
It is kinda like treasure hunting with GPS. Only you don't really get a treasure.
Once you go to the site and enter your postal code or coordinates it will tell you were the closest cache is too you. Write done the information, get your GPS and go out and find it. Once you find it write your name in the log found in the cache.
It is a great way to see new locations in your area.
Once you are comfortable with the sites and rules you can even hide your own cache for others to find.

My first find was a really easy one cause it was right across the road from my house. Although I overlooked it a few times before rereading the directions to find out that it would have bit me I was so close.

When I ran my postal code I found 20 caches within 11km. Go and run your postal code or latitude and longitude to see what adventures you can find.

This is how many there are in my area. All off the little white containers are things to find.

Introducing My New Company Name!!!!!

Yup that's right, The Orange Cow Company. Did ya giggle?? Or was it more like " What was she thinking??" Anyway that is my company for all my little crafts and hobbies, and now if I decide to sell stuff I got a name. I love it!!!

Here is my most recent sewing project. We went out to a restaurant for supper tonight and I didn't want the crayons all over the place. Plus I put a spot for some paper just in case I forget the colouring book.
It went over really well with Boo (20 months), but Mini (16months) is still not so into colouring.

Knitting update

Here are my most resent knitting.

First up we have fingerless gloves. I made these to see what the fuss was about. I still don't get it.

Then we have a very popular head warmer. I love it but think it is to big across the top of my head.

So after the last head warmer didn't work I tried this one and it is to small. I have another one on the needles just need some time to finish it.

Hair Hair and more Hair

I know that I haven't been posting for a bit. So I thought I would catch you all up with some hair do's that I have done on Mini.
First up is the Princess Crown. Very Time consuming but it stayed in all day even with a winter hat going on and off.

Next we have Up and Down Ponies
There are climbers going up the back of her head and come coming down the top. Very easy to do but didn't last long with her still uneven hair.

This is Experiment Hair. I started to do one thing and then changed half way through. There are some lacing and some tail. Not a bad style. Fast and held up okay.

Here is are Shoe Lace Hair
Lots of crossing hair. This one did good, but she did not wear a hat that day or have a nap so I don't know how it would hold up to heavy wear.

And last it a little something I did in my hair. There is a zigzag part and then a low tail. Held up with two small clips to create a bunish look.

Anywho. I will be adding more knitting later this week once I get more pictures taken.

So here is a progress picture of my second attempt at the toddler neckwarmer. This one I am knitting sideways cause I didn't like that is was striping. I liked the look of random colours from the first one.

So here it is.

Next up is the sideways mitten. I don't know how I messed it up but I really did. But I guess that is what you get for knitting while visiting and watching tv. So I will be doing a little frogging and try again.

Toddler Neck warmer

I made up a simple neck warmer for Mini cause I couldn't find what I wanted.
I will post up the simple pattern after I make another one up to make sure it is right.

It is the same yarn as her hat, and i will be making mittens to match.

The strangest thing

The strangest thing happened to me today. I was sitting in parking lot waiting for someone and a vehicle drove in and parked across the lot from me.
Picture this... A man gets out of his LARGE silver Hummer, wearing bright running shoes, shorts, a sweater and ball cap, scruffy as all hell. He takes two little children out of the back and walks into the building.
So the part that is strange is as soon as he drove past me I felt like I was going to be sick. I literly felt like I was going to see my lunch again. I am not sure what part made me sick. If it was the amount that man must pay for fuel. Or the lovley amount of exhaust he is putting into his wonderful children's air. I mean come on. This man has no need to have a hummer, he works in a freaken building all day.
In My Opinion - If you have the money to buy a Hummer then be cool, be trendy, be nice to the environment and spend your cash on a hybrid SUV. That is so much more practical than a damn Hummer.
Did you know that the Hummer was originally an army vehicle? So it is kinda like taking a wild animal and putting it in a pastier and saying well you need to be calm now. Or using a transport to do your errands. Why would you take a work horse of a vehicle and use it to drive the kids to school and pick up the groceries??
Grrrr I just don't get some peoples minds. But I guess if you have the money to buy a Hummer then you don't need to think about gas prices or any other small insignificant thing like the impact to the environment.

Let me say this. I am not just talking about this particular man. it is anyone that dose what I described above. Oh ya and some details have been changed or left out so that people are not pointed out.

IT is that time of year that the wind is getting cool and the little ones need hats that will stay on their heads. So I have been knitting like a mad women trying to get all the little heads around me covered up.

First up we have Jaykob's backhoe hat for his birthday.

Then we have Boo's hat. That is Mini modeling it. I hope to give it to Boo on Friday.

And last but not least is Mini's hat. It will be kinda the same as Boo's hat.

Intense Camera Hate!!

Right now I hate my camera. For some reason ever picture that has been taken since halfway through Jaykob's birthday will not come off the memory card. When I look at the pictures when the card is in the camera I can see them just fine. But when I put the card in the computer nothing. All I get is a frigin yellow caution sign.

So right now I want to smash that tiny memory card to little bitty pieces!! But no, I will not cause I have hope that somewhere some how I can get the pictures off of it.

I just tried a recovery program, but it was a demo and that means it does nothing to actually fix the problem just tells ya what the problem is. So very very helpful.
Any who, I need to go and make supper. If you have and great idea's at how to fix my memory card PLEASE let me know!!!

Mini's Hair

Have you ever hear a word that you can’t stand so much it makes you cringe. Well there are a few words that have became popular that really makes me cringe. So here are a few to get us started and when I get a bad reaction from another one I will blog about it just so you can spend time reading.

I can’t stand the word “Prego” What the hell??? The women is PREGNANT!!! How hard is it to say pregnant??? Are people these days really getting to lazy to use a whole word? All I am saying it is only three more letters, the same amount of syllables, and if you use them all you might, just might sound like you know what you are talking about.

Okay enough with that word lets move on.

“Chillax” This by far my most hated word of the week. For anyone not understanding this odd word. It is a mix of chill and relax. Cause you know you have those times when both words apply but you can’t quite decide which one to use. Since when was the English language missing words and we needed to add more words to mean the same thing that other words did a perfect job doing up until this time. Grrrr this one just boggles my mind!!

I am telling the world this, and you will be the first to know.
Okay here we go, I am going to tell ya, now.
Okay now I really am going to tell you what I have finally figured out.

I can't knit mittens! Ya that is my big bad secret. I officially suck at knitting mittens. But if you think about it hands are a really strange shape and try to wrap fabric around them is not to easy. Okay enough excuses for me now.
But really I have tried knitting in the round, flat, every stitch you can imagine and I am not happy with any results.
So here are the ugly, horrible, I hate mittens.
First is kinda my fault I tried to make the cuff longer to make sure they covered her little bitty arms, so maybe that pattern may happen again in the future when I don't have mittens any more.

So next up is the same pattern and instead of knitting every row I did a stocking stitch to make it look nicer and I guess that was my problem, cause they are so super short and wide looking.
AHHHH I think I am going to scream.

Okay so after typing this and explaining my pictures I realize that I haven't tried to make the pattern as writing. Well maybe I should try that before I completely give up on mittens. Ya I just might have to do that. So check back and there may be an update on the mitten nightmare I am going through.

I was sitting thinking today, who am I writing to? Does anyone actually read this?? Why would someone read this? It's not like it is very interesting or informative. Or even funny. So why, why are you reading this??
What? Your not going to tell me? How rude!
Since you were mean and wouldn't tell me who you are or why you are reading this I really shouldn't treat you with some more pictures.
I guess, I might as well, ya I will show ya. LOL

First up we have my newest obsession. My center wound ball with a flat bottom so it dosen't roll away. Love it!!!

Next up we have some new mittens for Mini. These are knit sideways and I am adding a longer cuff to make them cover more of her arm. Anywho this only took me 1 hr and 30 min to knit this much and the only reason I am stopping is cause it is time for bed.

Well wasn't that exciting and totally worth the what five minutes you spent coming to my blog and reading it. I am so glad that I could help you waist a few minutes of your day.

Not much to report today so I am just going to give you some pictures that I have from Monday.

Here we have Mini with her pumpkin hat and a size 4 sweater"dress".

Rosie stopped singing on Monday, So I had to do some emergency surgery on her.
After reconnecting her wires with some trusty electrical tape she is singing again!!

It was a pretty wacky day today, at least with Hannah. She tore the house upside down.
And this is her great accomplishment today. She was so proud of herself for climbing this ladder.

While Hannah was playing today I made my hunting hat a little bit more girly and unique.

It is not my best work, but it make the plane orange hat mine.

Mom Withdrawl

I am going through Mom withdrawal. Mom is down at the International Plowing Match for the week. And due to a whole whack of rain she is not camping in the camp ground. I assume that is why she is not on MSN this week. I know I could call her but she is busy and I am a big girl!! My MSN is so lonley these days. My New Boots!!!

Well I have messed around with my blog for the last hour but I think I may have gotten it just the way I want it.
So I got Hannah's hunting hat just about done. I just need to add a chin strap cause she will not keep it on her head. Once I get that done I will show yous what it looks like. Then I have her mittens to do. But right now my brain has switched to dumb and is emphasizing this point by doing alot of banging up there.
I guess cause I got my blog all pretty I can go and watch Big Brother.

Yeah both my feet are warm now!!! I have posted the pattern in my Ravelry account. If you don't have Ravelry, well you should, but let me know I will send it to ya. I am going to work on some changes so that they fit my feet perfect. Can't wait to start the next pair.

Well now I am on to Christmas gift making. And well since I am not 100% sure who is looking here I can't post pictures till after Christmas. So I will try to lead a more exciting life so that I will have something to post about instead of my crafts.

One cold foot

Okay here is the story of the french slippers. I found a really cool pattern on Ravelry for some slippers. When I followed the link it was in french. No problem they offer a translation into English. What I didn't know is that you can't translate knitting patterns easily. French words have alot of different meanings and instead of it telling me to "purl all stitches" it says "totally upside down" Well after about 30 min of translation with a wonderful online french/english dictionary I figured it out. So without further blah blah here is my french slipper.

And as my post title says I have one cold foot because I have only got one done. So off I go to knit the other one, and since one foot is chilly that is extra motivation to knit faster!!!

P.S. Once I get both done I will add a translation for anyone not wanting to put in the same amount of work I did!! LOL

Hannah's newish clothes

make me want to pull out my hair! Why some people have drivers licenses is a mystery to me. Let me just say that I am not the worlds best driver but I do follow the speed limits. LOL well at least I don't go bellow the speed limit!!
Alright so I will tell you the story that is driving me crazy.
Eric is driving and I am in the passage seat and Hannah is in the back in her car seat. We catch up to a car just as we leave Cobalt to go to Liskeard. We are in an 80 km/h zone. This car in front of us is going 60 km/h. Oh and of course we are late for supper!! Grrrr and there is no place to pass cause of all the corners. As we come in to North Cobalt the speed limit drops to 50. So Eric slows down to 50 and the car pulls way from us right as the passing lane starts. So this car is going 60 or so in a 50. What the He!! is up with that. This happens alot. What can't they read??? Think they are exempt to the speed limit?? Or that they go 60 in the 80 means that they have 20 km/h that they can go over the next speed limit??? Grrrr Had to get this off my chest cause it is driving me crazy. I am quite the little road rager but I always keep it in the car. If Hannah could only tell ya what I say while driving.

Keep dreaming people this will never be a reality!!

This will just be a short update of the hat I am knitting for Hannah. Here is the pattern.
I am kinda winging it because well we don't have alpaca wool up here so I went with a simple cotton. Also I hate, I mean HATE!!! Knitting gauge swatches!! Arr they seam like such a waste of time. I just want to get the project going so that I can see some results.
Anywho this is the bottom rim of the neck warmer part and I think looking pretty good so far.

Well I better get to bed before I start rambling on and on about the wild and wacky day I had. Maybe in the morning I will write it out and share.

I got Hannah's soaker done!!! (And I have no idea why this is underlined and don't know how to turn it off.)

This was a very easy project, it is going to be good around the house soaker.

And I went shopping today and got some yarn that I hope to make a hat and mittens for Hannah. I hope that this yarn works cause I have no clue if it is the right one, I am so new at this!! Anywho so now the mittens I posted last night will be frogged and I will try again in this yarn. Cause in my head it makes more sense to knit it good the first time just in case it turns out and if it doesn't, well then frog it!!

Okay off to knit so that I have something to post tomorrow night!!

Surprise surprise I have started another project!!! LOL I really do have good reason's for this one!! Winter is coming and Hannah needs warm fingers. That is a good reason, I think. Just wait till I get to the store I buy good yarn to make her a hat and mittens, then the reason's will come flying out.

So I am trying something new to me. It is a top down mitten pattern, and I am trying magic loop knitting too. I think I am crazy!
So this is my cast on. Pretty good I think so.

And this is what I got done so far tonight.

I just had to post my progress I am so proud!! My luck they will be to small and I will have to frog them just like I frog most thing I put on the needles.

Oh and I got that soaker done, well just about done. I still need to figure out a waist band and then we are off.

Okay Big Brother is on and I am back to my knitting, LOL!!!

Knitting heaven!!!

Oh my!!! I am in knitting heaven!! I found this great site called Ravelry!! It is a great community for all knitters and crocheters. I have found many great patterns, people and groups. My needles just can't keep up with all the thing I have found on this site! Is is so cool to see what other people have came up with when they knit the same pattern as you. Absolutely love that you can record all your needles and then print it so that you don't buy two of the same when you don't need it.
All around if you are into yarn crafts the short waiting list for entry is well worth the wait!!

So now that I have found Ravelry I am a knitting machine, much to Eric's dislike!! He keeps telling me that all I do is knit knit knit. Blah Blah to him!! It is fun and cheap. Okay not that cheap but defiantly fun!! So this is what I have gotten done so far.

This is part of a wool soaker for Hannah. This yarn has also tried to be a pair of pants but just didn't make it.

This is a headband type thingy for me. Hope this one turns out. I am famous for knitting something than ripping it out.

This is a stethoscope cover for Jamie. I am not sure if it is even any good. I saw the pattern and though "Hey that would be fun to make, and I even know someone with a stethoscope!!" So we will see how it fits and if it is even worth making anymore. I got some idea's for improvements but if it is just a strange idea that is cool, I have seen some more cool stuff.

This is my Ethan Angel. He hangs from my review mirror in my van. I am looking for the perfect pattern for a burial outfit to donate to hospitals in need with one of these little angels for the parents to keep.

Okay I better get my butt off this darn computer and over to my knitting chair!! LOL

Folding shirts

I am so excited about this site!!!!
I know I am such a dork!! LOL But really this shirt folding thing is so easy, fast and it looks pretty!!
So to show you just how much of a dork I am here is what I did tonight. I added an extra fold at the end just so they took up less space and you can kinda see what is written on the front of the shirts.

This is Eric's good shirt drawer. And this is his work shirt drawer.

All these shirts didn't fit before. Most used to sit on the top of his dresser. Now look there is room for more!!

I now realize that I have way more clothes than I actually wear.
I only really wear the stuff on the top shelf, everything else is either maternity or skinny Sylvie clothes.
So I figure that one of three things have to happen. Loose weight, get pregnant or toss it all and buy new stuff. Well I know that two and three aren't going to happen anytime soon, so I guess I better get off my butt and work on number one.
